All the articles about how the O' line worked all summer together and is tight, how we are 10 quality receivers deep, how the d-line will anchored by some strong performers, how Wujack is an AA candidate (did you even hear his name once?) how the secondary is veteran and deep, the whole team is more disciplined...ALL OUT THE WINDOW right now.
Only positives I saw: Turner played OK considering he an average of 1.2 seconds to get the ball out, Da'rell looked pretty good considering he had no holes to work with. Ferarra did what was asked but that snap hook kick he has scares me and Baltz was solid.
Yes Cal is a very god team, we probably caught them off guard last year. Yes we will probably win 6-7 games, go to some sh*tbag bowl where the payout barely covers the expenses.

The articles I read basically said the O-line got whipped and the D was confused on some plays. Apparently, on a couple of those big passing plays guys didn't blitz as they were suppose to, leaving those DBs one on one too long.

My biggest concern was the sloppy play. This just looked undisciplined at times. Fridge needs to get that under control and fast. Two cupcakes coming up so we will have time to get it fixed.

This really sucked. OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUCCCCCCH. I think we should worry alot. Tis one game thing I do not buy. Cal's defense is much better then when we scored easily last year. Turner is an average quarterback at best.

I've seen enough after 3 quarters. Fortunately this was probably the toughest game they'll play all year based on the quality of opponent, location, and inexperience on the OL. They have 2 games to get things worked out then a big game against Rutgers at home, followed by the ACC. Win the next the two and pull off what most media would say would be an upset against RU and this loss won't mean anything going into the ACC.

With UVA & Duke losing to some crap teams and VT, UM, & Wake losing against quality opponents, the ACC is going to keep its status as a second class BCS Conference.

Cal has a very good defense. Solid line and great corners. Not many teams we will play this year has that package. That being said, the O-line needs to improve and the defense needs to do a better job rushing the passer. Our secondary should be embarrassed by the way they played.

It's a long year. Scott just got in the end zone. We handled Cal fairly easily last year and it didn't lead to any great success. Losing to them doesn't mean the season is doomed either.

Everyone and their mother is going to try and shutdown our running game after this game. The formula is to make us put it in the air. Turner better be ready.

O-line is gawd awful.

The D is getting sliced and diced right now. They are taking some chances and paying the price so far. They need to get some TOs to get us back in the game.

Cal has a good D, no doubt about that. Let's see what adjustments Fridge makes for the second half.

Terrible. Turnovers, penalties, blown coverages. The Terps look awful. Why did they give up on the run? Really just a horrendous way to start the season.

The only thing I can take from the game so far is the fact that we are doing EVERYTHING to hurt ourselves. Turnovers, penalties, etc. We should be right in this game or even leading. So sad. They still have a chance, but need the D to come up big.
