Landing Tobias Harris Could Catapult Terps Recruiting Class to #2 Nationally

Jerry Meyer, the head national basketball recruiting analyst thinks that the Terps 2010 class could rise even further than #10.  Here’s the quote:
Maryland has established a solid foundation to its 2010 recruiting class with commitments from shooting guard Terrence Ross (No. 43 overall), forward Mychal Parker (No. 53) and guard Terrell Stoglin (No. 122).

Mychal Parker Commits to Terps for 2010

This news is so big I had to create a new post.  The Terps just landed their replacement for Landon Milbourne.  Mychal Parker is a consensus Top 50 recruit and is a huge “get” for the program.
Add that to the other 2010 commits, Terrence Ross and Terrell Stoglin and the Terps are building one of [...]

Greivis Vasquez on Wooden Award Watch List

The venerable Wooden Award announced their preseason watch list today.  It is nice to see that GV is getting some recognition heading into his senior season.  His value to the Terps this year is incalculable.  Perhaps no other Terps team since Joe Smith’s sophomore year have depended so much on one man.
    Vasquez will indeed carry [...]

    Chris Turner Speaks

I thought I would pass on a link to an interview with Chris Turner on ACC Sports.  Turner doesn’t give a lot of interviews and he comments on the coach-in-waiting situation.
In other news, the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll came out last night and it appears that there are two coaches who have faith in our [...]

    Maui Pairings Set

It’s not the sexy first round game, but we are very unlikely to go 0-3.  I hope!
Arizona, led by first-year coach Sean Miller, will meet Wisconsin in the opening round of the Maui Invitational.  The winner of that first-round game on Nov. 23 will face the winner of the game between Colorado and Gonzaga.
    The other [...]
