Maryland vs Morgan State

Don't you just hate games like this?  Maryland is coming off an encouraging yet tiring weekend of games at the Paradise Jam and has a big game coming up next week against top 10 Ohio State. Yet, tonight there is a tune-up game against Morgan State to contend with.

This feels like the dreaded "trap game" to me.  Morgan State stinks but the young Terps are surely looking ahead to that big Ohio State tilt.  By all accounts, Maryland should win this game by 30+ points but I will be happy with a "W" in any form.

Paradise Jam Final: Maryland vs Providence

Quite simply, this a huge game for Maryland.  Providence is a good team and Maryland needs a win against a quality team. I think the Terps need to focus on shot selection (as always) and rebounding. I'm rushing to get out of work so I will try to add some commentary later. [...] Read More »

Paradise Jam: Terps vs Marist

Today is the first day of the rest season.  Let's see if the Terps can bounce back from that HORRIFIC loss at home to Oregon State. First things first.  It's time for Turgeon to make some tough choices. 1.  Roddy Peters must start at PG.  Dez Wells is not a PG at this level.  Plain and simple.  Peters is raw but [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Oregon State Thread

I'm typing this while a hideously wet Ravens - Bears game so I apologize for the brevity.  Go Terps. [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Abilene Christian

Terps look to rebound this evening against some cannon fodder named Abilene Christian.  There's a joke in here about Christians being thrown to the Turtles (as opposed to Lions) but I'm too lazy to come up with it. Before the rout ensues, I wanted to point out some interesting data points from the UConn game. - Terps got zero blocks.&nbs [...] Read More »

Maryland vs UConn Game Thread

The Terps kick this season off in a few hours and excitement is building throughout Terpland. A couple things to watch for... Last year, Alex Len dominated Kentucky and Terp fans everywhere thought we'd see that for the rest of the year.  We were wrong.  The lesson:  don't take anything that happens tonight too seriously. Ha [...] Read More »

Gameday: Maryland vs Wake Forest

Today we learn which Terps team we will have for the final stretch of the season.  Will it be the one that CJ Brown led to an impressive 4-0 start or will it be the team that got embarrassed at FSU and barely escaped with a win against lowly UVA? There is no doubt that the Terps will be greatly improved with the dynamic CJ Brown directing t [...] Read More »

Gameday: Maryland vs UVA

The question for today's game is: can the Terps move past last week's drubbing and prevent a decent into mediocrity.  With or without CJ Brown, Maryland should beat UVA at home nine times out of ten. Only the wrong mental approach can stop the Terps. Everything I've read indicates the players and coaching staff were angry after last week's [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Old Dominion

Maryland played one of their best games in years last week as they routed and undermanned FIU squad.  The tune ups continue today as Old Dominion comes to Byrd.  As far as I'm concerned, games like this only offer negative consequences.  No one gives you credit for a win and a loss can ruin the season. ODU is much better than FIU [...] Read More »

Terps Open Football Season vs FIU

The prognosticators don't know exactly what to make of the Terps final season in the ACC. Surely, Maryland will have better luck and less injuries.  CJ Brown is the undisputed starter.  Far be from me to question the coaching staff about that decision since I haven't been at practice or seen any of our QBs throw a pass all summer.  T [...] Read More »
