Maryland predictably breezed through Howard last week and now it's on to an odd Friday evening kickoff with FIU.
The bullets still aren't flying for real as this is largely just another tune-up.
If last week is any indication, the Terps will be a run heavy offense that tries to use establish the run to open up the passing lanes. This makes sense given the limited passing abilities of Perry Hills.
Hills looked very comfortable last week and he looks like he'll be serviceable enough as a starter this year. When the Terps get into the meat of the schedule, it will be critical that he doesn't turn the ball over. That's our only chance against the big boys.
The defense looked great in the first half and let's hope we see more of that as the season wears on.
