Is Stoglin Considering Arizona?

10/12/2009 10:01:55 AM Matt Bracken from the Baltimore Sun is reporting that Terp PG recruit, Terrell Stoglin, is considering waiting until the spring before signing his LOI.  Bracken also states that Stoglin is receiving significant interest from Arizona.

Obviously, this of great concern consindering the fact that the coaching staff has stopped recruiting for the position for next year's class.  Stoglin stock continues to rise and the fact that U of Arizon is interested is a good sign that Stoglin will be an impact player in Division I.

Stoglin's decision to wait could be a minor issue and may have more to do with waiting to make sure he qualifies for Maryland academically.  Even so, it's hard not to be more than a little concerned.

Arizona is a national power and Stoglin is from Tuscon.  Stoglin committed to Maryland verbally and, while not binding, a verbal commitment is usually honored.

Despite that, it's hard to say that no one saw this coming.  One need only look at the Turtle Soup post announcing his verbal.  Many a reader commented that they hoped he would not renege.  Now, it seems that such an event is not as far-fetched as once thought.
