Maryland vs St. Bonaventure

The Terps begin their road to the Destin Florida blah blah blah Tournament this evening against St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies have been in the A-10 for decades and have spent most of that time in the bottom half of the conference. Nevertheless, they are not cupcakes. I’d classify them as an upper-tier mid major. They are capable of beating big conference teams and have done so many times over the years.

Make no mistake, anything less than a 10+ point win, would be a disappointment but don’t expect a blowout. If the Terps win, they will earn the opportunity to take on their stiffest competition yet, with a likely date against TCU. TCU is currently 29 in the AP so it’d be a good non conference win and one that would definitely inch the Terps closer to the top 25 themselves.

Another game to keep tabs on tonight is Purdue vs Arizona. Despite Arizona’s loss to NC State this week, they are a top 10 team and it will be interesting to see how Purdue fares. We meet Purdue at the Comcast Center in a couple of weeks.

Maryland vs Jackson St

There are a lot of opinions about Saturday’s squeaker against Bucknell. The optimists will harp on the second half comeback, while the pessimists will focus on the listless first half. Personally, I’m inclined to focus on the former. Yes the Terps started poorly but it was the fourth game in nine days, they were coming off a “big” win against [...] Read More »

Daily Double: Maryland vs Michigan State and Bucknell

Today we have a rare double header. Maryland’s football and basketball teams have games today. The football is going to get pasted by Michigan State while the basketball team should paste Bucknell. The basketball team is coming off a satisfying win against Butler. Maryland presented as a tough, deep and athletic team that can run teams of [...] Read More »

Maryland vs. Michigan

Michigan comes to town for what is likely to be a lopsided contest this afternoon. Michigan is having an off year but the Terps have been decimated by injury and the defense can’t stop anyone right now. Hopefully, we’ll put a decent showing at home but even the most jingoistic fan can’t expect the Terps to pull out a win today. [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Indiana

I guess the Terps are about as good as they could possibly be with a decimated quarterbacking corps but this is where we are. A feisty Indiana squad is in the docket and if the Northwestern game is an indicator, the Terps will be lucky to win. The defense is not quite good enough to make up for the offense’s deficiencies. That’s a recipe [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Wisconsin

Don’t have time for long post today as been in the hospital welcoming the starting backcourt for 2035 Maryland Terrapins. Yes, I’m the proud papa of twin boys! Anyway, the Terps are going to get crushed in Madison. I’m glad I’ll be occupied with more important things. [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Northwestern

Time to put last week’s game out of our mind and focus on the future. Maryland and Ohio State have different objectives this season and that’s even more true when the Terps are on their fourth QB of the season. Six wins is achievable but to get there, the Terps must dispatch Northwestern. The Wildcats are having a poor season and the Terps hav [...] Read More »

Maryland vs #10 Ohio State

Last week’s thrilling and unexpected victory underscored for Terp fans how great DJ Durkin and his staff have been. Not only have the recruited players that can compete, they’ve built an identity and have shown that they can punch above their weight. We are lucky to have this staff and let’s hope we can hold on to them for a long time. [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Minnesota

With Kasim Hill's season ending injury, the air came out of The balloon for the Maryland Terrapins. Expectations of a fun and exciting season quickly disintegrated and fans are left wondering "how could this happen to us again". It's a question worth asking but there are no answers. Sometimes you are unlucky. Sometime you are really unluc [...] Read More »
