Maryland vs Bowling Green

What a win last weekend! With all of the dark clouds surrounding the program, the team took the field and played their best. They even handled the weather delay and took down a ranked team.

It’s hard not to be proud of these kids and how they represented the University. It also set the Terps up nicely to have a great start to the season.

Now, Maryland takes on Bowling Green, a team that crushed and embarrassed Maryland three years ago. Methinks this team will avenge that loss.

Gameday: Maryland vs Texas

What a summer.  The Maryland Athletic Program has their worst summer since 1986. The tragedy of Jordan McNair’s death has been compounded by the behavior of senior administration officials. It’s a black mark that will last for some time. This goes far beyond sports but the purpose of this site is to talk about the games on the field so th [...] Read More »

Lacrosse Championship Weekend

The Terps are going for two national titles this weekend. In the process, then men get to take down Duke which is always nice. Back to back titles is unthinkable compared to the drought that preceded it, so there is a lot at stake. Let’s go get em! [...] Read More »

Big Ten Tournament Thread

I wasn’t able to put up a thread for the Michigan game. I was dealing with 3 sick kids. It was a rare miss on my part. That’s why I didn’t show up on Saturday. I can’t explain the Terps failure to show. That performance was pathetic and sadly, not that surprising.  Turgeon said the loss “woke them up”. Pleeeeaaaaaase! It’s the last g [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Northwestern

Here we are. The last road game of the season! It’s on an off campus dump called the Allstate Arena (formerly Rosemont Horizon). Fun fact: the mayor of Rosemont (population 2200) makes more money than the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel. Don’t you just love Illinois politics? The Terps have a shot .500 in the conference but they need to win out [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Rutgers

Who’s ready to out the string. Terps seem far removed from at-large consideration. Injuries have clearly impacted the season but to be this far out of it in mid-February is really unacceptable. I’m not sure there is a team with a better roster pedigree in a worse position than our Terps. Rutgers has given teams trouble but Maryland should be a [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Nebraska

Maryland's tournament hopes seems to be the thing that will never die. Based on what the sharps say, the Terrapins can still play their way into the Tournament. to do so, Maryland must win on the road. Nebraska has feasted on inferior Big Ten opponents and have won 7 of 8. They are playing very well and it's going to be really tough to win today. M [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Northwestern

This season crumbling all around us. Almost no chance for Maryland to make the dance now. Many folks are talking about how next year will be so much better with all the talent we have coming and injured players returning. Perhaps. I look at the current squad and see 4 guys who are supposed to make up next year’s nucleus (Huerter, Cowan, Bruno, [...] Read More »

Maryland vs. Penn State

The Terps have had very little success on the road this year so despite the fact that this is a winnable game; it is not going to be easy. At 16-9, the Terps need to win 6 of their last 7 games to get off the bubble and into the field. The schedule is there for the taking but with the decimated roster, Maryland will need to be great every nigh [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Wisconsin

The Terps limp in to Comcast to take ona poor Wisconsin team.  Maryland is in desperate straights. They really can’t afford to lose anymore games and now Ceko appears to be out for an extended period of time. The injuries afflicting this team are astounding. Today represents a chance to right the ship and build some momentum for [...] Read More »
