Maryland returns home tomorrow to face Rutgers. At 17-2, the Terps are flying high. Maryland is undefeated on the road this season (4-0 inclusive of Georgetown) and ranked for the second week in a row.
Justin Jackson won co-freshman of the week and the Terps continue to play without the services of Dion Wiley and Mikael Cekovsky.
I don't care what you think of the quality in the Big Ten this year, Maryland is performing at a high level.
Rutgers, as is the norm, enters the game at the bottom of the standings. Melo Trimble didn't practice on Monday due to an illness so his absence could factor in to the proceedings. Otherwise, it should be the easiest conference game of the remaining slate.
That's good because the Terps travel to Minneapolis (another winnable road game) and then host a ranked Purdue team before heading out to Columbus.
That's a difficult stretch ahead but all of those games are there for the taking.
Let's hope Melo is not out tomorrow.
