Incredibly, the Terps are 3-point underdogs at home tomorrow when they take on the Purdue Boilermakers.
That's astounding when you consider that the Terps have a better record against like opponents (they've lost to Iowa and Minnesota), the Terps are ranked higher, and it's a home game.
I think it is going to be a close game but the lack of respect is just getting outrageous.
Maryland is having an incredible season. It's been an absolute joy to watch this team come together the last two months. The Terps start three superb passers (Huerter, Cowan, and Trimble) and Justin Jackson is playing like the second Colin of Scottie Pippen. The Terps have three serviceable centers that each bring something to the party (Dodd - shot blocking, Bender - passing, Ceko - a little bit of everything). They are formidable.
Sure, Purdue has one of the best big men in the country in Caleb Swanigan but Maryland is higher ranked for a reason.
Of course this will be decided on the court tomorrow but I hope this gives the Terps that little bit of extra motivation.
